Days 1-2: St. John’s

Visit Cape Spear National Historic Site, the most easterly point in North America. Visit the photogenic Quidi Vidi Village and stop at the brewery to sample the local drinks. (Day 2-B)

Day 3: Avalon Peninsula

Take a boat excursion to see whales, puffins and icebergs. (B)

Day 4: St John’s – Trinity

Travel to Bonavista Peninsula and visit the 19th century replica fish processing factory to learn about local history of the village. (B)

Days 5-6: Trinity

Explore the enchanting village of Trinity, set along a dramatic coastline strewn with quaint pastel coloured houses. Hike the Skerwink Trail along rugged coastline taking in the villages and ocean below. (B)

Day 7: Trinity – Twillingate

Discover the Beothuk ancient village uncovered by archaeologists in the 1980s. Later, arrive in Twillingate for an afternoon Iceberg Watch boat tour. (B)

Day 8: Twillingate – Norris Point

Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Gros Morne National Park, which has forests populated by moose and caribou. (B)

Day 9: Western Brook Pond

Enjoy a boat tour of this unique landlocked freshwater fjord that has been carved out by glaciers and is home to many waterfalls and a variety of wildlife.

Day 10: Gros Morne National

Explore Gros Morne National Park, viewing glacial valleys and rock formations. The Tablelands can be viewed here, which is an outcrop of Earth’s mantle pushed skyward half a billion years ago.

Days 11-12: St. Anthony

Visit L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site comprising the remains of the earliest European settlement in the Americas. (B)

Day 13: St. Anthony Steady Brook

Head back down the peninsula to the picturesque town of Steady Brook to explore the Bay of Islands and Humber Valley. (B)

Day 14: Steady Brook - Deer Lake

Your trip ends back in Deer Lake. (B)
